HandBEHG began in 2006 after a quick trip to a local yarn shop to purchase wool for a felted handbag idea.

My now teenage-daughter taught me how to knit several years ago and a creative seed was planted.
Very early on, hand-felted wool balls were incorporated into the designs for zipper pulls and as creative embellishments on the exteriors. Many, many handbags later, salvaged wool accessories were added to the mix and the felt balls continued to be a hit.
The first packages of felted wool balls were hand-packed from my personal stash and became very popular with jewelry makers and the consignment buyer.
With increased popularity, felted wool ball production quickly transitioned from the studio to a production group now managing the perfected process.
Felt balls were first offered online in early 2007. In 2008, the HandBEHG Felts micro-brand was adopted on all product packaging and Kim Kleine became part of the creative team. A dreamer, designer and exceptional fiber artist-guru in her own right, Kim expanded the Felts offering with the addition of the Adornments line of salvaged wool items to compliment the felted wool balls.
Together we are a creative tag-team committed to igniting a spark in the imagination of the fiber artist.
